NARD Convention, New Orleans, LA

The American Pharmacy Alliance was well represented by its founding members at this year's 98th annual NARD Conference hosted in New Orleans, LA. In attendance was Compute Rx, North American PACS, PharmAssist, OmniSYS, QS/1 Data Systems and Transaction Data Systems. APA president, Karl Steele was also on hand to make 3 monumental industry announcements. Three national wholesalers, AmeriSource, Bindley Western and Cardinal Health, and the Wholesale Alliance, consisting of 26 regional wholesalers, have declared their intent to work with the APA in development and delivery of a suite of wholesaler programs. IMS America's subsidiary, Clark O'Neill has also partnered with the APA in the delivery of patient compliance programs for manufacturers and other healthcare management organizations.
