Karl Steele, president of The American Pharmacy Alliance, was a guest speaker at this year's South Dakota Pharmaceutical Association's conference hosted in Souix Falls, SD. On November 3rd, Mr. Steele presented an ACPE program entitled "Utilizing Technology to Improve Patience Compliance". Appropriately, patient compliance is one of the 6 services currently under development by the APA and national and regional wholesalers. Working in concert with state associations and other industry related groups to increase patient compliance awareness will be an active part of the APA's 1997 agenda. Watch for details early next year regarding additional program topics available to associations and software vendors.
